See what our employees have to say about working for GRI in the UK.

"The role of Director of People & Engagement was a new one when I joined de Poel (now GRI) in July 2014, which was partly what attracted me to the position. It gave me the opportunity to shape the HR provision within the group. The recruitment process was thorough – I completed aptitude and online essay proofreading psychometric tests, submitted a 3 minute video introduction and attended two interviews. I soon found that decisions are made quickly at GRI; it is a fast-paced environment that offers something new every day."

"I joined de Poel (now GRI) as a temporary Office Manager soon after graduating from university, and quickly became a permanent member of the Support Services team. The combination of so much to learn, the fast-paced nature of the industry and the support of a great team in a busy, dynamic environment soon saw a year fly by.

Encouraged by my line manager, I put myself forward for the role of Account Manager and was delighted to be accepted.

The business has evolved substantially over the years but I have always been fortunate to have a constant support network at GRI, and so, in my present role as Head of Operations, I strongly believe in leading by example and feel humbled to now be in the position to give something back and support my colleagues at the beginning of their careers at GRI – just where I was seven years ago."

“During my time at de Poel I have seen the business transform from a UK based organisation in Knutsford to an internationally renowned global business.
I joined de Poel in 2015 as an Operations Executive working in a fast-paced environment managing accounts across our logistics client base.
de Poel (and now GRI) have always invested time and resource into my development and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed working within our operations team, the skills from my previous role (and those obtained throughout my time here) were recognised by our Senior Management Team with an opportunity to join our sales arm as a Business Development Manager.
I love the autonomy of my latest role, creating and developing new opportunities, working alongside organisations to understand their specific needs and really make a difference to their operation.
Building external relationships is imperative but from an internal perspective the collaborative environment promoted is equally important, encouraging engagement with multiple stakeholders daily. I particularly enjoy working closely with our Marketing Team to generate new opportunities but also ensure I always maintain a close connection to my roots in Operations to ensure project transitions go smoothly!
Whilst the organisation has experienced significant expansion over the last 3 years we still work in a close-knit community where everyone understands the wider business and success is recognised, by both peers and management; for example, with our quarterly awards which I have been lucky enough to win for my contribution to the business’ success.
All in all it’s a great platform for continued growth and success moving forward.”

"In my role, at GRI as Data Administrator I am entrusted for the day to day overseeing of clients and suppliers data through the e-tips® system.

I have been with the company for 2 and half years and I have seen many positive changes in that short space of time, including the growth of our public sector offering and the wider team. The increased growth in this sector ensures that we are empowered to come up with our own ideas and solutions when working with clients and agency suppliers. With the support of my manager and the team around me, I feel my career has really grown and I am looking forward to further development as the company continues to thrive."
