The role of Director of People & Engagement was a new one when I joined de Poel (now GRI) in July 2014, which was partly what attracted me to the position. It gave me the opportunity to shape the HR provision within the group. The recruitment process was thorough – I completed aptitude and online essay proofreading psychometric tests, submitted a 3 minute video introduction and attended two interviews. I soon found that decisions are made quickly at GRI; it is a fast-paced environment that offers something new every day.
