It gave me the opportunity to shape the HR provision within the group. The recruitment process was thorough – I completed aptitude and online essay proofreading psychometric tests, submitted a 3 minute video introduction and attended two interviews. "I joined de Poel (now GRI) as a temporary Office Manager soon after graduating from university, and quickly became a permanent member of the Support Services team. The combination of so much to learn, the fast-paced nature of the industry and the support of a great team in a busy, dynamic environment soon saw a year fly by.
Encouraged by my line manager, I put myself forward for the role of Account Manager and was delighted to be accepted.
The business has evolved substantially over the years but I have always been fortunate to have a constant support network at GRI, and so, in my present role as Head of Operations, I strongly believe in leading by example and feel humbled to now be in the position to give something back and support my colleagues at the beginning of their careers at GRI – just where I was seven years ago."

“During my time at de Poel I have seen the business transform from a UK based organisation in Knutsford to an internationally renowned global business.
I joined de Poel in 2015 as an Operations Executive working in a fast-paced environment managing accounts across our logistics client base.
de Poel (and now GRI) have always invested time and resource into my development and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed working within our operations team, the skills from my previous role (and those obtained throughout my time here) were recognised by our Senior Management Team with an opportunity to join our sales arm as a Business Development Manager.

Building external relationships is imperative but from an internal perspective the collaborative environment promoted is equally important, encouraging engagement with multiple stakeholders daily. "In my role, at GRI as Data Administrator I am entrusted for the day to day overseeing of clients and suppliers data through the e-tips® system.
