Andrew Preston, CEO - UK and COO - EMEA & APAC of GRI, part of Geometric Results Inc., the world’s largest neutral vendor recruitment outsourcing specialist, has been recognised in the 2018 Amazon Growing Business Awards.
Founded in 1998, the Amazon Growing Business Awards were created by Real Business, in partnership with the CBI. In present day, the awards are the most established and respected celebration of SME and entrepreneurial success in the UK.
Andrew’s shortlisting as an Entrepreneur of the Year follows several accolades that have been awarded since he led a management buy-out in 2016 (when the business was formerly known as ‘de Poel’) and was instrumental in the acquisition earlier this year, which resulted in the creation of the world’s largest neutral vendor – now managing over $5billion in recruitment spend across the globe.
Awards include the 2017 and 2018 Finance Monthly’s CEO of the Year, 2017 ACQ5 Awards Gamechanger of the Year and a listing on Staffing Industry Analyst’s 2017 Top 100 Europe - along with wins for the business such as the 2018 HSJ Partnership Award for Best Procurement Service, positions on the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100 listing and delivery of Investors in People, Investors in Customers and ISO accreditations.
Andrew Preston said:
“Since I formally took up the reins, and with our already award-winning track record, it is great to have been shortlisted as an Entrepreneur in the prestigious Amazon Growing Business Awards - a true beacon of celebrating SME and entrepreneurial success in the UK.
“The shortlisting further demonstrates my commitment to the business and our people, my focus on continuing to grow our leading position and my drive to repeatedly deliver service excellence for our clients and high performance for our stakeholders, year on year. I very much look forward to building on this now, and in the future.”
