CEO of GRI’s non-Americas portfolio, Andrew is responsible for GRI in the UK and EMEA and APAC.
An experienced and recognised business leader with a global health and managed service background, Andrew has delivered the successful integration of numerous merger and acquisition projects including the sale of his own clinical service business to global service provider Serco Group Plc.
Andrew originally started his career in the NHS and over the last twenty plus years has gained extensive experience in the successful growth and development of FTSE 100 companies, PLCs, private equity backed and private organisations.
Andrew joined, what was known as, de Poel health+care in 2013 as Managing Director. He subsequently assumed MD responsibility for de Poel’s newly formed education business and business development across the group. In 2015 Andrew was appointed as Group Managing Director, with responsibility for the strategic development and operations of the entire de Poel group. Following an MBO led by Andrew in September 2016, he was appointed as CEO of the de Poel group. Andrew subsequently led the de Poel team in the acquisition by GRI and was appointed CEO of the non-Americas business.
Andrew is a recognised leader, winning the IoD NW Director of The Year Award (Large Business) in 2020. Also in 2020, Andrew was a Finalist in the Amazon Start-up Awards in both the Entrepreneur of The Year and Business Leader of The Year categories. In 2019 Andrew was recognised as the Most Influential CEO of the Year – Health in the Corporate Excellence Awards. In 2018 Andrew was shortlisted in the Amazon Growing Business Award as Entrepreneur of the Year. Previously he has won Finance Monthly’s CEO of the Year Award in 2018 for a second consecutive year and the ACQ5 award for the Game Changer of 2017, in addition to featuring as one of the Top 100 most influential leaders in Europe by Staffing Industry Analysts.
